FEATURED ORGANIZATION:Reach Out and Read is an evidence-based nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud. Andrea Anderson, graduate of Brown University School of Medicine, will be present to provide more information on Reach Out and Read of Metro DC. They are currently looking for volunteers to read aloud to children in any one of their 35 local sites. If you have gently used children's books you want to donate, please send them!
